During the meeting today, Wednesday, the Cabinet approved Decision number 17/31/2025 of the Board of Directors of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund,which was dated June 22, 2025. This decision stipulates the commencement of construction of 116 buildings with a total of 2,320 housing units which will be medium-income housing with an elevator, based on the New Urban Communities Authority model, with an area of 120 square meters per unit.
The buildings will be located in the northern neighborhoods of Hurghada.and also Commercial services will be constructed on an area of 15,000 square meters as separate buildings, given the location’s uniqueness, according to the study conducted by the Central Agency for Reconstruction.
The Cabinet explained in a statement that this initiative reflects ongoing efforts in realestate Egypt to accommodate the requests of middle-income citizens who applied for reservations under the “Housing for All Egyptians” announcement Number 7 and had not yet been provided with housing units.
Also the Cabinet approved the Decision Number 13/31/2025 of the Board of Directors of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, issued on June 22, 2025, granting allocation priority in Announcement No. 7 of the “Housing for All Egyptians” program in the Tell Warda Project of Shata District in Damietta Governorate, and the Hurghada Project in Red Sea Governorate, to the customers who had already previously applied for reservations in earlier announcements.
